Txoko Mendibile opened its doors on 21st June 2013, working on the same principles as its sister establishment, 'Txoko Piperrak'. It adapts traditional restaurant cuisine to the values, sensations, moments and experiences of the Txokos, the famous Basque gastronomic societies. Like the Txokos themselves, they stick to quality produce and honest service, the basic pillars of these unique establishments. It is located in a modern glass building adjoining the country house of the same name, which dates back to the 17th century and is now the headquarters of the Bizkaiko Txakolina wine denomination). Highlights among its facilities include the Business Center, spacious terraces, private dining rooms a shop specialising in Txakoli from Bizkaia. The menu is based on fresh, local and seasonal produce, and special mention must be made of the cod in pil-pil sauce, small squids in their ink, chops and goxua dessert.
