The ninth reason for coming to visit us is the city of Bilbao, a metropolis which is certainly worthwhile exploring in-depth. To kick things off, make your way to the heart of the city, namely its old town and the Seven Streets, where you will be greeted with the city's main attractions, both cultural and culinary. We will continue our journey along Bilbao's Ensanche, a district which stands out for its architecture and which combines classical elements with modernist ones, until we reach the Bilbao Ria. It is here where the Guggenheim Museum is located. It is a museum whose exterior delights visitors as much as its interior, with its array of internationally-renowned collections and exhibitions. The final reason for coming back to the Basque Country is to be found in very close proximity to Bilbao, between the towns of Portugalete and Getxo, over the waters of the Bilbao Ria. We are referring to Vizcaya Bridge. It is one of the principal remnants of the industrial power of the Great Bilbao and has been declared a World Heritage Site. Its construction displays some similarities with the Eiffel Tower, and it boasts a pedestrian walkway at the highest point of the bridge: the views from up here make this a worthwhile experience.
